Habitat for Humanity has provided over 17 houses for the poor in Williams county since it was organized in this county in 1991. The candidates for houses must put "sweat equity" into their homes and the materials are primarily donated. The family is then given a "0" interest loan or very low cost loan to pay off the small debt from contructing their home.
