Ministries

The furniture ministry was started to help the people moving out of the Sanctuary homeles shelter that we started in 1992. Once again, this ministry has grown to tremendous proportions. What began in a storage locker and then moved to 2 semi-trailers has come to rest in 2,500 sq. ft. of the Community Compassion building at 614 E. Edgerton St. in Bryan. We help approximately 400 families a year with their furniture needs -- all for free. Patrick Ailiff, our resident furniture mover, goes out twice a week to pick-up furniture donated by indivduals in the county. He then puts them in our free furniture store and from there people within the community come and pickup what they need. The store is open between 9:30 and 10am every Saturday.
