Ministries

We have a number of food ministries at the church. We operate a food pantry five days a week. The hours are from 10 am - Noon Monday - Friday. This is open to anyone in the community. Martine Zwayer, the heart behind this ministry, has spent hours developing a menu so that we know we are giving out enough food to last that family 4-6 days. Each box is based on family size. Also, the volunteers who work in our pantry take the time to find out what is going on in the people's lives and to pray with them.

Another food ministry is our Christmas Food Giveaway. Last year we helped 325 families with food. Through generous donations from our community we are able to provide each family a grocery cart full of food plus all the fixings for Christmas dinner, as well as cleaning supplies and hygiene products to last the week. This ministry began with food being provided for about 30 families and has grown steadily since. Each family comes to the church the night of the Giveaway and we have a special service for them that includes the plan of salvation. Each year we are seeing more and more impact on those we have been able to help. God is using this ministry to change the hearts of those in our county.
